Spider Mansion is a game I’m co-developing with Seawon Kim. This research documentary presents technical floor-plan drawings, furniture references, and fabric studies.
The setting draws on the Georgian period (c. 1714–1837); while the exact year is intentionally vague, the visual direction is informed by furniture, objects, and artworks from that era.
Most of the furniture research comes from museums, including the V&A, The Met, and MFA Boston. Additional sources include vintage furniture websites such as 1stdibs.com.
TECHNICAL DRAWING RESEARCH

Technical drawings based on research: Doors, windows, and fireplaces
Floor Plan: Version 1
Selected Elevations from the Floor Plan
SketchUp Mock UpWhen drawing the floor plan, I use SketchUp to quickly map out the furniture placement.

I created some furniture in SketchUp based on my research to place in the dinning room scene.
This is how the scene looks after placing the furniture.

CHARACTER RESEARCH - ROSALIND
Rosalind is the Lady Master of the house and comes from a wealthy family. She prefers furniture that emphasizes function over ornament—mechanical pieces with hidden parts and compartments. Serious and strict by nature, she is well read and well educated. She plays the piano and draws skillfully, favoring landscapes. She loves nature and enjoys reading. Although her marriage to Lucius is arranged, she does not appear dissatisfied; nor does she seem to care if Lucius takes a mistress.
